Essay Questions - Please note that these are the questions for 2009.  The ones for 2010 will be provided in the near future.

Leadership From Every Angle: Leadership is traditionally thought of as leading a team of subordinates. Is this the best leadership point of view? In addition, leading from a vantage point that encompasses other positions such as those who are subordinate and dominant to you is
another option. Which leadership tactic works best when mapping out a successful career? What other alternatives are there when it comes to
leading from every angle?

Personally Accountable: To be more successful you should pay attention to what matters to you. How can you change your life to be more accountable to yourself? What changes can you make now so that you can look back at your life and like what you see? How can making these changes increase your productivity at work and success in life? What are the disadvantages of not making these changes?

Is My Job Safe? The economy is in a constant state of change. Companies are continuously going through mergers, acquisitions and
bankruptcies. What do you do when your job is on the verge of being right sized? How do you increase your value at your company to aid in your retention? If you don’t have a golden parachute, what steps should you take to help ensure that you survive company downsizing?

The Consumer Financial Tightrope: With the global markets affected by the money crisis, how can this affect your individual financial decisions? With companies tightening their budgets what cues should individuals take to ensure their financial future is on solid ground? With banks tightening their credit standards, many have to walk a fine line when it comes to lending to consumers. What steps should you take to preserve your financial assets and net worth?
